Participants will create a mosaic portrait under Gila’s guidance in this workshop. Gila will share some methods she learned at the Mosaic School in Spilembergo, Italy. The materials used will be a combination of Mexican Smalti (a thick luscious glass vibrant in color) & picassiette (dishes, saucers, pottery, etc.). Participants may also incorporate additional materials such as stone, marble, and found objects.
