Mosaic Class: Values and Colors in Mosaic Portraits with Jolynn Forman

This is a rare in-person class taught by Jolynn Forman, who specializes in mosaic portraits.
Ever wanted your mosaics to look more like art and less like a craft?  Or add more realism to them? The key is color choice and using more values!  Come learn from Jolynn Forman how to “paint with glass” and get to the next level in mosaics!   She will show how she makes her mosaics, then help each student one-on-one with their own mosaic project of choice.
This is a 4-day color study portrait course that will provide in-depth guidance on skin color choices, making amazing eyes, working with hair, etc. We will also be discussing translucent grout and how to use it in mosaics. You will leave this workshop with a much deeper understanding of mosaic portraits!  Bring your portrait choice, glued to a 10″ x 10″ or 12″ x 12″ board, for you to work on. Glass and glue will be provided, but you may bring your own if you have specific glass you wish to use.
Congratulations to Jolynn, who recently won Best in Show at the International Society of American Mosaic Artists with a portrait piece.
